Blew Me Away

The boys and I were blowing bubbles in the backyard or maybe it was more like I blew the bubbles while Danny and Ryan hopped around the lawn popping them. Anyway, Ryan dropped the wand into the foot high bubble container, and I just could not get it out. He gave it a good attempt as well with his smaller fingers but then gave a look like, "Mom, I'll solve this for us. Hold on." With a big cheesy smile, he ran to the back slider door to go get whatever it was he wanted. I definitely watched where he was going. He went to the kitchen, opened the silverware drawer, pulled out a spoon, looked at it, said "nooo," then put it back to pull out a fork. To that his smile grew larger still. He proudly brought it to me. Of course it worked. What a thinker, right?
